it’s not a non-issue, but a same level issue. Any minority subbed in for “female” would have an equal claim at offense from that quote, in my opinion.

I think he hit him about as hard as he could, but he was really far behind the play and desperate, so it probably didn’t faze Sedin at all. Looked bad though — announcers’ embellishment helped that too.

And what he said was hilarious — she was totally wrong and he lit her up for it — just had to add the female part, which threw it all in the wrong direction.

my issue with Keith is replace ‘female’ with another identifying trait of a reporter (ie asian or homosexual). Still non-issue?

That’s cool your daughter was here too. What part of Korea was she in? I’m guessing the Seoul area if you went by the Rocky Mountain Tavern. I’ve never been myself, but I’ve heard legends of its existence. Hoping to find and see it for myself one day! You’re right, hockey starved Canadian expats like myself and others really appreciate outlets like that place or the DVD to make us feel a little more at home in a far away place.
